Actress Neena Gupta has posted a picture from daughter Masaba's wedding to actor Satyadeep. "Aaj beti ki shaadi huee dil mein ajeeb see shanti khushi abhaar aur pyaar umda hai (my daughter got married today. My heart is filled with peace, gratitude and love). Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Misra announced they were married with in a post on social media. The post has two photos of the newlyweds, both in pink – Satyadeep's outfit is also from House of Masaba. "Married my ocean of calm, this morning. Here's to many many lifetimes of love, peace, stability and most importantly laughter. And thanks for letting me pick the caption - this is gonna be great," reads the caption.

Masaba told Vogue that the couple had a court wedding. "The idea was to keep it very small and in the presence of our immediate family. We wanted it to be very intimate because we felt that that was the right thing to do and we will not be celebrating in a big way going forward. However, there will be a party with close friends and family about 80-85 people who've had a meaningful relationship with Satyadeep and me," she said.

Masaba is the daughter of Neena Gupta, who appears with her in Masaba Masaba, and cricketer Vivian Richards. Masaba and Satyadeep have been appearing on each other's Instagram since 2020 and have been on trips to Goa and Maldives together. In 2021, Neena Gupta shared a picture on her Instagram Stories showing a work from home scene from her home in the hills of Uttarakhand – in the picture are Masaba, Satyadeep and Neena Gupta's husband Vivek Mehra.

In addition to her show, Masaba Gupta has also appeared in the anthology series Modern Love: Mumbai. Satyadeep Misra is an acclaimed actor known for his work in films like Bombay Velvet, No One Killed Jessica and the Hindi version of Vikram Vedha. He was last seen in the web-series Tanaav.

My inference: I got this from the internet. Mumbai accepts anyone who is willing to work hard. The social taboo and hush-hush kitchen politics are a thing of the past.

Life with Prashant 18 🤣🤣🤣

      

     Some men have this weird habit of experimenting different dialogues on their wives. When in any function or any sort of get-together, in all boys group especially, each man, very pompously boasts of 'how I won against my wife in an argument' or 'how I very successfully drove my wife to tears'. Well well well folks, according to me, it's nothing but- how I made the biggest fool of myself in front of my friends 🤣🤣🤣. 

     I remember how illiterate housewives in old India used to very meticulously train their sons to be their massive pillar of support. Its left to the guys, whether they want to be tied up totally to their mummy/sister ka pallu or want to explore the world outside in a healthy manner. It is their decision. You can politely refuse marriage or any sort of love-life with full dignity. There are many grown up adult men in my family, who are proudly and very respectfully single by choice. We didn't force them, or made fun of them. I respect all of these men. With the help of surrogates they can have kids too, hats off to modern medical science. 

     It's totally and with full respect your choice whether you want a love interest or not, nobody is going to force you or make fun of you. Please don't be an actor-husband/actor-boyfriend and ruin a woman's life. 

     "I used cuss-words/hit my wife/girlfriend to appease my mom's/sister's huge egoes(woh sirf meri sunta hai theory) will only make you a laughing stock behind your back 🤣🤣🤣. 

     Chalo karte hain ghar ki baat: 

Prashant Poojari is currently fast asleep, snoring away to glory. I think the potatoes in today's curry were rotten. There were no black marks inside it when I cut it. So without any further thinking I put those in the curry. But in such a case, how do we come to know in advance, just by glancing at the potato pieces whether in actuality it is rotten or not ? Stale potatoes have ruined the curry 😡😡😡. I will throw a sharp stone with full might at the grocer and the farmer's head. 🦎🦎🦎 chipkali sala 🤬🤬🤬. How am I supposed to be fully sure of the quality of a potato when it looks perfect both outside and inside ? Mad vegetables and an even madder husband ! There was no logic ever in any sort of behaviour of his, right since 25/4/2012. But hum toh iss pe hass to sakte hi hain 🤣🤣🤣. Hasna sehat ke liye achha hota hai. Toh zyada socho mat, sirf haso 🤣🤣🤣. Peas-potato curry gayi khadde mein ! 🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣

The regular Sanpada trip

     Since 2020, the regular Sanpada trips doubled up into 'fully decked up look' opportunities for me. So spent some extra minutes to make myself look good. These come under my me time, which nobody can take away from me. 

     At age forty, I look good. I look healthy and confident too. A good sign for a Depression patient. Embroidery and writing stories are my other stress-busters. 

     After makeup, story-writings, blogs and embroidery, there is something else also in my mind. If something concrete comes out of my new secret initiative, I'll inform you all about that too. It might take two to three days for my research and homework about this. So for success in my new venture, I desire all of your blessings.

Whenever he catches mice or kills cockroaches, I give him a smile 🤣🤣🤣,

Whenever he cleans the dust on the furniture, I give him a pat on his back 🤣🤣🤣,

Whenever he washes the utensils, I call him a sweet-heart 🤣🤣🤣,

Whenever he washes clothes, I pet his hair 🤣🤣🤣,

Whenever he brooms and mops the floor, I give him a Melody chocolate 🤣🤣🤣,

Whenever he cleans the under-side of our huge bed, I ahem 🤣🤣🤣... encourage him by clapping my hands,

Whenever he washes the bathroom, I give him a rose 🤣🤣🤣,

And finally when he cleans the fans of the house, I whistle loudly using Garima's school whistle 🤣🤣🤣.

      Who says today's generation doesn't know how to love and the 'Shahrukh Khan' generation is over, this is my style of wifey-love, and trust me it works. 

     Why don't you girls also try a similar technique. Life will be ecstasy. There will only be love love and more love 😘😘😘.

The women I idolize

     This is not the regular end of year countdown.      

      I've been a Bollywood devotee for the most part of my life. Now at forty years of age and with twenty-two work-pieces under my belt, I've a master degree, but no massive salary which I can boast of. The 'she's not successful' with the quintessential feel to it, the eyes of middle class society, though modern now, have labeled me 'she's not an important person' and 'she can't give advise to us'. I accept this with a smile, since especially in middle class, earning money is important, ofcourse we have to eat food.

     Now as an intelligent, well-experienced, well-educated lady, I think one woman helping the other and together working towards something concrete has to be encouraged. 

     Leaving all that aside, let's go forward to take a look at my personal favorites, my idols.

1. Ekta Kapoor: The head of Balaji Telefilms and Balaji Films and an OTT firm also under her ownership, she's Bollywood superstar Jeetendra's daughter. She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, but didn't take her luxurious life for granted. She took all the support from her father and worked towards becoming so successful. Hats off, ma'am.

     Her saas-bahu serials were criticized by the critics saying "The go-to for the dim-witted rich housewives whose only work was plotting against each other and trapping men". But ten years into me myself becoming an Indian wife,  my advice to new girls getting married is also that you should be well-prepared to handle kitchen-politics and power-game. If you don't know that you'll be made to sign on blank cheques and thrown out of the house. This kind of extremely successful saga criticized by single youth, is what the Indian marriages are all about. Now she's a single mother herself, thus proving even that is cool and quite possible and very normal even in India. 

     The extremely smart and 'cannot be defeated by men' character Shanaya Singhania played aptly by superstar Alia Bhatt in Dharma Productions 2012 movie 'Student of the year' also gives insight into such kind of sexy and poised rich women. I myself don't think this is bad in any way.

2. Gauri Khan: Just like her name, she's a goddess, who especially after the success of Gauri Khan Designs is looked upon by all big city bred women. 

     She was first a model and a VJ. But suddenly in a fraction of a second was madly and wildly envied by all Indian women because she married Shahrukh Khan. Her husband is ofcourse successful. But also was supremely sexy and charming. All Indian women behind their veils, even now are very much ready to murder their husbands and boyfriends just to get a glimpse of him. 

     After marriage and kids, she co-founded and is the Chairperson of 'Red Chillies Entertainment' and after a brief stint as a fashion designer, now owns 'Gauri Khan Designs'. She's very successful in both of these ventures. 

     A beautiful woman, a dutiful, supportive and intelligent wife, a good mother to her three kids and after a rocking career now, is my personal favourite.

3. Babita: She's the woman behind the success and strength of Karisma and Kareena. 

     A good and appreciated Bollywood actress herself, she got married into the hugely reputed and influential Kapoor household. But, as it happens sometimes, she was soon a divorcee. But with a never say die attitude, not bogged down, and with an intelligent mind just like actress Dimple Kapadia, she worked hard towards making both her daughters Superstars. Now with the world noticing her and with a relaxed old age, she's playing with and inspiring her grand kids.

     You don't always need to be from the field of Politics or an industrialist or an entrepreneur to be praised and inspired from. Any person who works hard with a good intention can become idols for the modern indian youth. Breaking the myth, being married and having kids are not taboos anymore. But it comes under multi-tasking. Even in ancient India, Goddess Durga who is a goddess with multiple hands was worshipped. According to me, the multiple hands that are there in her idols clearly and strongly specify that we should worship her with single minded dedication fully accepting and respecting the various tasks she does.

Joshimath declared landslide-subsidence zone, 60 families evacuated

 Joshimath has been declared a landslide-subsidence zone and over 60 families living in uninhabitable houses in the sinking town have been evacuated to temporary relief centres, a senior official said on Sunday.

At least 90 more families have to be evacuated.

The local administration has set up relief centres at four-five places in the Himalayan town, Garhwal commissioner Sushil Kumar said.

Meanwhile, Chamoli district magistrate Himanshu Khurana went from door to door in the affected area to assess the damage and appealed to people living in houses that have developed cracks to move to the relief centres.

Joshimath has been declared a landslide-subsidence zone. More than 60 families living in uninhabitable houses in the sinking town have been evacuated to temporary relief centres, Kumar told PTI.

Considering the extent of the damage, at least 90 more families will have to be evacuated as soon as possible, he said.

Kumar, who has been camping in Joshimath since Thursday, heads a committee tasked with monitoring the situation on the ground level.

There are a total of 4,500 buildings in Joshimath and 610 of these have developed huge cracks, making them unfit for habitation, he said.

A survey is underway and the number of affected buildings could go up, he added.

Kumar said the affected area, including houses that developed cracks earlier and the ones damaged recently, forms a big arch which could be spread over 1.5 km.

Temporary relief centres have been set up at four-five safe places within Joshimath. Some more buildings, including a few hotels, a gurdwara and two inter-colleges, have been acquired to serve as makeshift shelters that can accommodate around 1,500 people, he said.

"Land subsidence has been going on slowly in Joshimath for quite some time but it has increased over the past week with huge cracks appearing in houses, fields and roads," the Garhwal commissioner said.

"The situation worsened apparently after a water channel beneath the town erupted last week," he said.

The priority at present is evacuating the affected people to safety, he said.

Kumar said long-term measures being explored to deal with the situation range from reconstruction to retrofitting.

Chamoli DM Khurana surveyed the affected area.

People were told to move out of unsafe and uninhabitable houses as arrangements for their stay have been made in hotels, homestays and other safe places, he said.

The state government will pay Rs 4,000 per month for up to six months to those who want to move to rented accommodations, he said, asking people not to risk their lives by choosing to continue living in the damaged houses.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who visited the affected areas in Joshimath on Saturday, held a meeting with officials Dehradun after returning and asked them to relax norms to expedite relief operations.

He said they were asked not to get entangled in long procedural complexities and take direct clearance from him for work related to drainage treatment and sewage systems in Joshimath.

The National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad and the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun have been asked to conduct a study of Joshimath through satellite imagery and submit a detailed report with photographs.

The Geological Survey of India has also been asked to examine the suitability of Koti Farm, Herb Institute and the Horticulture Department's land in Joshimath and in Pipalkoti's Semaldala area for rehabilitation purposes.

Subsidence - sinking of the ground because of underground material movement—is most often caused by the removal of water, oil, natural gas, or mineral resources out of the ground by pumping, fracking, or mining activities.

     There are some very deep mysteries regarding Prashant Poojari. He fought with me like hell because he wanted rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner again. 🤣🤣🤣 He knows to prepare various types of food. I initially thought he would prepare those. But the truth is that he wants rice, rice and rice only. It is a very strange behaviour. I think he suffers from severe vitamin deficiency- rice and curry only ?😳😳😳 🤣🤣🤣. If not treated in time, it may get worse. 🤣🤣🤣 Stop laughing this time guys. I'm serious 🤣🤣🤣. I know you looooove the regular doses of Prashant Poojari humours to brighten up your mornings. But I think it's all of our duty to sympathize with him and care about his treatment and wellbeing 🤔🤔🤔. This feeling in my heart proves that I'm a very... I'm a very... I'm a very c... caring wife. I just can't see my husband not feeling well 😭😭😭.

     When I shared my such deep concerns with my Bhoirwadi kiddo friends, they were very empathetic and supportive of my... my plight and deep concerns and care towards my ailing husband 🤔🤔🤔 🤫🤫🤫 🤭🤭🤭. One of the kids in 5th grade cajoled me saying "Where in this world will you find a husband so caring that he fights tooth and nail with his very busy wife to cook healthy and balanced-diet food himself early in the morning ? This is just because he wants to share your burden. Off-course this is because you are very very busy, and to find time to devote to your passion- to write... write... write ahem... 'Life with Prashant series'. He is such a caring husband". It was just after the kid pointed this out to me, I smiled, otherwise I was so... so worried about him 🤭🤭🤭.
