What the Indian audiences are expecting from Bollywood film makers in the year 2026 🤔🤔🤔

Top Box Office Hits (Based on Grosses/Expected Grosses)

1. SaiyaaraA major blockbuster of the year. 2. ChhaavaAnother significant contributor to Bollywood's revenue. 3. DhurandharA top-grossing film of the year 4. Sitaare Zameen ParA big hit from the first half of the year 5. Mahavatar NarsimhaA well-performing Hindi film.

I was a Bollywood buff all through my childhood, teens, twenties and thirties. And I've done my Post Grad in Journalism and Mass Communications too.

So what are the Indian audiences wanting to see in the year 2026 ? Let's have a talk regarding that.

👉 We want to see the biographies of unsung heroes of the past filmed with good background scores.

👉 In the movie Dhurandhar we saw a story with unexplored backdrop of very rarely filmed Pakistan. We of course are not telling that the cast and crew should go to that risky place for shoot. It was previously covered in Gadar ek Prem katha, Gadar 2, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Veer Zara. But there is a curiosity in the minds of Indian audience to see stories with Pakistan as the backdrop. Even Heeramandi OTT was a blockbuster.

👉 We want to see stories set in previously unexplored backdrops like Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Andaman and Nicobar islands and Bhutan too.

👉 We want top quality VFX.

👉 A good mujra song is great to watch and hear. We saw it recently in Dhurandhar and we want more of it.

👉 Mindless well synchronized songs of the lead pair is totally out. Is every doctor, engineer,  politician or gangster a well synchronized dancer ?  It was hot and happening in the nineties, now it is totally out.

👉 We don't want movies to be preachy.  Movies can be issue based, but it's primary objective is to entertain.

👉 Chhaava, Saiyaara and Dhurandhar are the top three grossers of 2025 clearly stating and proving that the relatively youngsters have taken over. Although it took some time, but Ranveer Singh, Ahaan Panday and Vicky Kaushal can be given big and expensive movies.

👉 Over-hyping of Indian culture and Indian marriage ceremonies are a big no-no.  None of last year's top grossers had it.

👉 Movies have to cater to the ambitions, lifestyles and issues of today's Indian youth.

Rest is fine. We fans want engrossing movies. There are plenty of such stories around us. Or else take a story from real life incidents. These are the movies which we are dying to see. Please make these kinds and release them, we'll throng to the theatres. And no south cinema,  Korean shows or Hollywood movies can bring you down.

So this is what we want to say.  Happy New Year and happy day at the movies. Bye for now. I'll be back soon with more new topics and content.

I saw 'Dhurandhar'. It was good.

I saw the movie 'Dhurandhar'.  It was good but incomplete. We feel a strong sense of it being incomplete in the end. Now that's what I didn't like. Else it was good. You don't feel bored even for a minute for the entire duration. Great job done by Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt.  Ranveer Singh looked like the quintessential hero, like we expected of him.  The mujra song look good. The sets or wherever the movie was shot looked like Pakistan every bit.

The film is doing well at the box office is what the news is.  'to be continued' is written in the end,  which clearly means there will be a part 2. I pray Bollywood regains it's lost grandeur. 👍

Can an Indian woman really decide to marry the second time ? 🤔🤔🤔

Samantha Ruth Prabhu married for the second time just a few days ago. Her ex-hubby Nagachaitanya remarried nearly a year back. So, finally Indian women have learnt the art of moving on. A career-woman succeeded like the way she was supposed to. This is what strength is all about. And it comes by earning money. Someone said Samantha wanted to continue her career post marriage. But her former husband didn't agree for this. That finally gave way to divorce.

But yes, fans and people in general were worried for her. She fell sick, and got into depression. But with time she gathered herself and moved on with the big step of second marriage. Raj Nidimuru, the man she chose was married before, and that too with Samantha's now ex bestfriend. Not so bad.  But in today's world everybody does that. That's acceptable, but very very scary for the first wife.

The way the society moves or grows into, the school kids need to be taught about it, I mean how to handle it, if it hits you suppose. When I was in primary school, we had a subject called 'Community Living'. But those were meant for kids. In teenage, today's generation needs such kind of subjects, more appropriately during the college years.

Girls and boys both should be taught to stay strong and erect when divorce happens, or more appropriately when their world collapses. A woman who suffers, suffers and suffers cannot be considered as great. She can't be a role model. Or this is not something that is rightly supposed to happen. Building a temple for the goddess of suffering is not something the society should do. Instead get a job for her or give her a shoulder to cry on till she regains her emotional strength, is something that is advisable.

What about money ? Learn the art of earning money. The girls should be taught in their teenage, the art of Plan B. So that wicked people don't laugh, giggle or mock when your marriage fails. I hail for Samantha. Great work ma'am, I myself am a woman and don't like to see other women in sullen faces.

I'm happy for our new bride. Please shower her with your blessings too.  Let this glowing, charming and confident woman shine like no other in future too.

A new age woman's wish to another similar woman- May you have a very blissful and glittering married life.

                               👍👍👍
