MA(journalism and mass communications)

          After my graduation in 2004, I had a strong desire to be a post-graduate. But things didn't fall in place. I was also very weak in academics. I tried three different courses(M Com, ICWA and Dipl in Fashion Designing). But was unsuccessful. My mother arrived at a conclusion that she had given birth to a big zero. 

     I had done my .net course from NIIT Vashi and Web designing from IWSA. But it didn't take my career anywhere, contrary to expectations. 

      Then in the year 2013, something brought a smile on my face. It was the SMU ie Sikkim Manipal University banner which I happened to see, just above the Kshir Sagar hotel, Vashi. I immediately went to their branch office over there, spoke to them, went back home, took the required documents and secured admission on the same day. The course was:

MA(Journalism and mass communications)

     In September 2015, I passed my post-graduate  course. 

     This degree, the makeup course and the base that I learned from the diploma Fashion Designing course brought confidence inside me. The 'worthless' feeling went out. 

     Finally now in July 2022, I'm designing clothes. Very soon the sample pieces will be shown to you all. I have self published fourteen ebooks and four serial stories. Although according to me 'Kriti and Shruti' was not that  good, like the way the genre of this was- 'inspirational for teenagers'. It was just meant to break the myths and taboos and to mould the very valuable teenage minds of India towards the right direction. It was-

You are strong 

Don't feel disheartened 

Slow and steady wins the race 

You can learn to cook

You can put makeup 

You can learn it too

     Yes, its true that the career paths which I've chosen are not money-minting ones, but it makes me happy. It's my passion. And so I'm happy. 

     These thoughts, the history ofcourse is a bit-old, but today while surfing the net I saw something that made me smile and go down memory lane. The 'Sikkim Manipal University' has now given place to 'Online Manipal'. This looks as good. The link is given below:

A ray of hope to the shattered- 

'I'm married', 'I'm pregnant', 'I've a child', 'I've a 9 to 5 job', 'I can't attend the college premises', 'I'm not permitted by my in-laws to leave the house' etc... etc

Just throw all these excuses out of the window and online Manipal is the much needed relief.

 This mixed vegetables tikki was fully made at home by me. It has five varieties of vegetables in it:

Life with Prashant 2 🤣🤣🤣

                                    🤣🤣🤣

     After naming his Apple laptop 'Sushant Poojari', Prashant has now named the small steel patila/tope in the house as 'Rushant Poojari'. His love towards this patila is beyond madness. He was angry today morning that I was not taking proper care of his newborn Rushant. He has given an ultimatum that when he comes home today evening, he wanted to see Rushant spic and span and without any stain on it.

     I don't understand this man. He loves petty non-living items more than humans. He not only loves these things, but is CRAZY about these. There was anger on his face when he gave me the ultimatum. I'm on the verge of buying a full copper patila to avoid more trouble.

     Other than these two, he loves his iron also, he has not named it although. I feel it's just a matter of time, he'll name it also. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

      So, 'life with Prashant'👉 and the madness continues ... 🤣🤣🤣

Fabric painting

 

It was fabric painting day 1 and by the grace of Goddess Chikkammadevi it went very well. 

I was preparing a sharara for Garima. It will take minimum 3-4 weeks to complete. It will be a nice hand painted pink and white dress. Like me 

white and pink suits her also.

Dress designing and story writing are my ways of doing meditation. It gives me peace of mind, a sense of satisfaction and helps immensely in handling panic attacks in Depression and anxiety.
