👆 I was close to greenery and life, when I did my graduation in Manipal, Karnataka. Doing a little gardening or basic farming here brought the college kids from poor farmer-families their college-fee-resources. This idea is really good. Along with the blessings of the poor students, it's nature-friendly too.
The atmosphere in the college premises will also be serene and pure. It's a great idea. You don't need to become a monk to experience mental peace, planting and taking care of a tree, and watching it grow and bear fruits is a different level altogether.
Whatever happened in this village, should be tried and tested in all colleges with extra land all over India. What life are we giving to teenagers in cities ? mobile addiction, violent video games, narcotics ? Nurturing a living being, a tree, which is without much hassles is the right path along with academics.
If I ever meet the Principals of any city college, I would definitely suggest him to implement these in his spare space within the college boundaries. Commendable idea and kudos to the individual who first thought about it.
